Privacy Policy

The short version: Kontinuity stores all your data locally on your device. We cannot see your data, we don't have servers that receive it, and we never share it with anyone. Your conversations and usage data are completely private.

1. What We Collect

Kontinuity collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:

Token counts (input and output) per message and session
Estimated cost in USD per message and session
Model names (e.g. claude-opus-4-6, gpt-4o)
Platform names (Claude, ChatGPT)
Session timestamps and duration
Project names you create and assign to sessions
Daily aggregate totals for dashboard charts

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

The content of your messages or AI responses
Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information
Your browsing history or activity on other websites
Any data from websites other than claude.ai and chatgpt.com

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored in your browser's IndexedDB — a local database that never leaves your device. This is the same technology used by apps like Google Docs for offline storage. The data is associated with the Kontinuity extension in your browser and is not accessible to websites or other extensions.

3. Data We Never Transmit

Kontinuity has no backend servers that receive usage data. The extension operates entirely within your browser. When you use Kontinuity, no data is sent to kontinuity.space or any other server controlled by us. The only network requests made by Kontinuity are the normal AI platform requests you initiate yourself (to claude.ai and chatgpt.com).

4. Third-Party Services

The Kontinuity website (kontinuity.space) may use the following third-party services:

Loops.so — for waitlist email collection (only if you submit your email)
Plausible Analytics — privacy-respecting, cookieless site analytics for the website only (not the extension)

These services only apply to the marketing website, not the browser extension.

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Since all extension data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

Export: Use the CSV export feature in the Dashboard at any time
Delete: Use "Clear Data" in Settings, or remove the extension from Chrome to delete all stored data
Waitlist emails: Email hello@kontinuity.space to be removed from the waitlist

6. Children's Privacy

Kontinuity is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify waitlist subscribers by email. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
